Emerald Planet has been working at the forefront of the environmental market since 2006. Emerald Planet was originally founded with the vision to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by utilising energy efficient products. Emerald Planet was involved with the NSW greenhouse Gas Abatement scheme (GGAS) from 2006 and partnered in the giveaway and installation of over 15 million CFL globes across NSW to December 2008.

In 2008 after much research Emerald Planet’s first lighting product range was placed on the market. The EmerLED range of LED tube lighting is designed to replace fluorescent tubes in commercial, government, retail, mining, hotels and educational environments. These products have now been successfully installed in numerous institutions of both private and public interest with great results and feedback.

On Dec 1 2008 Emerald Planet’s first CFL range was released, by March 2009 there were over 1 million Emerald Planet globes installed in residential properties throughout Victoria by various companies working under the VEET program run by the ESC. Currently there are over 200,000 homes across Australia with Emerald Planet CFL’s lighting them.

In 2010 Emerald Planet looks forward to releasing additional energy saving lighting product ranges as well as other environmentally focused products.
